3 Blazers, 3 Contradicting Outfits

1. The Look for the person who hates color, but also wants to look Summer-y

The first look we have includes a staple from everyone's previous fall/winter  closet - a checked blazer. If yours isn't too thick, it can pair perfectly with a thin rayon button up like this old one from Zara. Pro-tip: stay away from thick fabrics and lined blazers in the summer, they add all the degrees. Add some shorts, like these Vineyard Vines (not my type of brand, I know) ones from Nordstrom rack. Finally, add some classic mules and throw in a cowrie shell necklace. Boom. A twist on a blazer from last season. I kept this outfit very neutral to appeal to all of you "stay-away-from-color" people, but color can be incorporated anywhere if you're looking to get a little more Summer-y.

2. The Look for the person who wants to wear linen, but they're a rocker

Next, we have a linen look. I found this unlined Perry Ellis blazer in my dad's closet when I was visiting, and I immediately "borrowed" it. It works so well with the brown and gold JCrew belt that give these thrifted Gap linen trousers the coolest paper bag waist. I decided to add some more casual elements to "punk" up the outfit. After all, didn't we all go through a punk rock phase? My CDG converse and an old band tee gave the outfit just the juxtaposition I was looking for.

3. The Look for the person who needs a *Night* look, but they love Tee's

Finally, I went for a "night" look that was also comfortable. Granted, it's no black carpet number, but you are sure to look quite snazzy in a similar outfit. My blazer is DKNY with a little patch on it. It calls for a different blog post, but DIYing your clothes can totally bring back new life in them. Keeping on theme with navy but adding black back in (Navy's superior color), I grabbed my CDG pinstripe trousers. I bought them from Farfetch forever ago, but they're still a pair of my favorites pants. To brighten it up, I added a Mott & Bow tee with my suede Grenson Archies. Oh, and while it may be a night look, it is always okay to have sunglasses to add to the look
