As we only have a few days until New Years Day, I figured I should give my two sense about what to wear on New Years. I think it can be particularly hard for guys to find a festive outfit just because stores have only recently started marketing festive outfits to match women’s counterparts. I shopped a lot of the ASOS sale and found a few things to have options, but for the most part, I want to show you guys some outfits with pieces I already have and that you might have too! I think it’s very important for your wardrobe to be filled with pieces you can wear somewhat year round (disregarding seasonal clothing). Sequins and sparkles are nice if you have the extra cash to spend on them for one New Years outfit, but I personally choose other ways to have a New Years outfit. Don’t worry ladies! I’m going to link some of my favorites for you too!
Also note, this is not sponsored in any way I just love helping you guys out with outfit inspo!
A lot of us might have some checked pieces since it’s been one of the biggest trends this season, and I think this is a great time to pull them out! I have numerous pairs of checked pants and suit jackets that could work. Brownie points if you have a cool matching suit to really make an appearance. Below are some great options that would look amazing paired with any turtleneck or shirt. I paired my trousers with a turtle neck and just to be a little more "fun," I added my shearling jacket.

I also think patent leather is perfect for any New Years party! I recently got some black patent leather doc martens on my trip to NYC and I will for sure be rocking them this New Years. Some leather pants would also look great as I know a lot of people already have a pair. In this outfit, I paired my vintage Harley Davidson Jacket with my Patent Docs.

“Wacky colors” are also a great way to look a bit more festive than your normal attire. I personally don't think any color is too far out there, but I keep my wardrobe somewhat neutral. Even the smallest amount of color, especially if you’re notorious for being the one dressed in all black, will show that you’re feeling festive! Here, I paired my bright pink blazer with a green sweater and turtle neck.

Finally, dresses similar to these are a great and affordable way to get an outfit together quickly for New Years. Don't worry if they're short either. Tights always look great with shorter silhouettes. Just pair them with some booties. Another option would be to wear over the knee boots! Sparkly, red, leather, velvet, etc. are all New Years appropriate, and if it’s not a ball gown, any style should do fine! Shiny skirts and bags are also easy ways to add that certain je ne sais quoi to any outfit.
Also, HAPPY NEW YEAR! I hope you all had a great year and hopefully 2018 will be even better!
